Who Can Join?

United Credit Union membership is open to anyone who works or resides in the following counties: Adair, Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Chariton, Howard, Lincoln, Linn, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, and Shelby. Other companies and groups may request credit union service, and may be approved in our field of membership by our board of directors and the Missouri Division of Credit Unions.

If your employer is interested in offering credit union benefits -- such as a sound savings  plan, a source for low-cost loans, and the convenience of payroll deduction/direct deposit  -- contact our office.

Family members are also encouraged to join United Credit Union. UCU is a
great place for your parents or grandparents to develop a financial plan for retirement, for your brother or sister to take out a loan, or for your children to learn the importance of  saving.

Once a Member, Always a Member

United Credit Union is dedicated to providing its members a lifetime of dependable financial service. Once you join the credit union, you may retain your membership for life -- even if you retire, change employment, or move away.

One Share Makes You an Owner

At United Credit Union, our members are our owners, and your ownership is secured by your initial deposit and maintenance of $1.00 in your share (savings) account. There is no fee to join the credit union.

Your share puts you on equal footing with all other credit union members, regardless of how much money you have on deposit. Each member/owner receives one vote during elections at the annual membership meeting, and you may also serve your credit union as a volunteer on the board of directors or supervisory committee. If you are interested in one of these positions, contact the credit union office.
